Iligan City — A joint operations of Police Station 4 with the Philippine Drug Enforcer Agency Region 10 team conducted a buy-bust operation at Tipanoy, this city against a notorious and wanted suspect known as RJ Rama Verano, a resident of Barangay Bagumbayan, Kauswagan town, Lanao del Norte.
Confiscated from his possession were a calibre .45 pistol loaded with live ammunition and eight sachets of suspected shabu.
During the operation the suspect allegedly fired upon the police personnel that prompted a shootout. The suspect died on the spot.
The suspect had a pending case in Quezon City for robbery with homicide of a Dr. Pricilla Fernandez, residing in Sto. Domingo, Quezon City. (Nora Soriño, Ric Palahang and Sita Asequia)
