ON All Souls' and Saints' Day, three Eagles clubs in Northern Mindanao Region 12 (NMR 12) Bagwis Dos did something nice.
They even gave free candles and bottled water to hundreds of people who were visiting cemeteries.
This helped the people who were there to remember their loved ones. The clubs did this to help others and show that they care.
This is what the Eagles clubs believe in and aim to do. Their good work made a big difference to the people who were visiting on that day.
The Tagoloan Eagles Club and Tagoloan Lady Eagles Club conducted their annual Agila Oplan Undas 2023 on November 1, 2023.
Club President Eagle Archie C. Ello, Lady Eagle President Josefina B. Nabong, Rosie Director Eagle Leoneil R. Sulapas, and Misamis Oriental 2nd District Rep. Eagle Yevgeny Vincente Emano stepped up to serve the Tagoloanons.
They distributed approximately 700 bottles of mineral water and 400 candles from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Tagoloan Cemetery.
This annual activity is in line with the fraternity's mission and vision according to NMR 12 Bagwis Dos Eagle Governor Eric Daabay supported the service initiative.
The main goal is to promote humanitarian service and foster strong brotherhood, principles that are integral to the fraternal organization's ethos, he said.
Daabay said the event concluded successfully, embodying the love and passion the clubs have for serving the Tagoloanons.
The governor congratulated the clubs on their effort.
He said, "God bless the Tagoloan Eagles Club and Tagoloan Lady Eagles Club. Let the eagle fly high and long live! All the credit goes to God."
In addition, the Aghasa-a Eagles Club in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, extended its humanitarian services during Kalag Kalag 2023.
The club provided free candles and drinking water to the people visiting their loved ones at the Jasaan public cemetery on November 1, 2023.
Lastly, the Villa Anchor Eagles Club (VAEC) participated in Alalay ng Agila 2023 on November 1, 2023, at San Martin, Villanueva Cemetery.
The VAEC, led by Charter President Joenard Tudtud and other organization officers, provided 350 bottles of water, 300 candles, and 300 packs of biscuits to those in need.
"These acts of service by the Eagles Clubs are a testament to their commitment to humanitarian work and strong fraternal bonds," said Gov. Daabay, adding that the clubs' actions have not only honored the departed but also brought comfort and assistance to those who mourn their loss.
