Sleepy. That’s me. While watching “Snow White.” That’s the live-action version of the 1937 Disney film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

If you’ve been hiding under a rock before the original movie was released in 1937, you must be the only person in the whole wide world who doesn’t know that Sleepy is one of the Seven Dwarfs.

I can also be Sneezy after eating or drinking anything that has sugar, inflammatory ingredients, and veggie oils. And I can be Grumpy while sneezing and wondering what caused the runny nose this time which the carnivore Doc can perhaps pinpoint based on my food log.

I’m Happy when I’m writing, reading, and spring-cleaning.

I’m Dopey after a sleepless night.

The only dwarf I can never be is Bashful.

This 2025 “Snow White” movie has lots of apple pies. And the only thought that came to mind when I saw that was, Oh, carbs.

The carnivore community knows that plants are poison. An apple is a fruit. Fruits are plants. Plants are poison. Do the math. In other words, a carnivore Snow White will never eat the apple.

Imagine how life is now if Adam and Eve were carnivores. No original sin. No banishment from the Garden of Eden. The Forbidden Fruit would have remained untouched. No wonder it’s from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Kind of like how a low-carb dieter learns to transition to carnivore if he still experiences the side effects of low-carb fruits and veggies.

Adam and Eve would have lived like the Seven Dwarfs, and singing this daily: “Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s home from work we go.”

Talk of home, “Bring Him Home” is actually one of the songs featured in “Les Miserables”: “God on high/Hear my prayer/In my need/You have always been there/He is young/He’s afraid/Let him rest/Heaven blessed/Bring him home.”

I don’t know if the Duterte team chose “Bring Him Home” as their mantra because it’s in “Les Mis.” Or it was merely a product of spontaneity. But, as I wrote in a previous column, spontaneity doesn’t exist in politics where every little thing should be a calculated risk otherwise, hmmm, Bye, victory.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte will celebrate his 80th birthday on March 28 while detained in a place far, far away. Expect prayer rallies not only in Pinas but in every country where Filipinos have migrated, with “Bring Him Home” as their loud cry.

Will Malacañang listen to that cry? “Bring” means the plea is addressed to some people here in Pinas. If it’s “Send Him Home,” then that’s for those outside Pinas such as the International Criminal Court.

Even non-Duterte fans—meaning, those who hated Tokhang or his war on illegal drugs—are expressing pity for him. Will the Senate impeachment trial of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte be the icing on the cake that can lead to People Power 3? Hmmm.

The Pinoy is resilient. He smiles while atop his roof during flash floods. So, the current scenario in Pinas is merely another experience he can learn from. Hopefully the lesson will stay this time, and not forgotten again.
