A 36-year-old security guard died by suicide inside a staff house for security personnel in Initao on April 3, authorities said.
Police Corporal Ricky Alagon Jr., chief investigator of the Initao Municipal Police, said the victim shot himself to the head with a .38 caliber firearm at around 6:20 pm.
Based on witness accounts, the gun did not belong to the victim.
Initial investigations suggest financial problems as a possible motive. Police ruled out foul play, citing CCTV footage that captured the incident. The victim’s name was withheld by authorities.
