A 55-year-old domestic helper from Ormoc city was arrested by authorities in connection with an attempted parricide yesterday morning.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Provincial Police Director, identified the suspect as Ruben Salarda, single, and residing at Purok 18, Barangay Iba, Cabanglasan town of the said province.
He was arrested by elements assigned at Ormoc City Police Station 5 together with Ormoc City Mobile Force Company, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 8 in coordination with Cabanglasan Municipal police station at 10:30 am.
Salarda, who is the number 2 most wanted person at the municipal level and the number 11 MWP at the provincial level in Ormoc, was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Dennis Alcantara of the Regional Trial Court 10-Branch 8, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon dated June 27, 2011.
Alcantara recommended the suspect a bail bond fixed at P120,000 for the latter’s temporary liberty.
The suspect was brought to Ormoc City Police Station 5 for proper disposition and subsequent turn-over to the court of origin.
