A BARANGAY Gusa resident is now wanted by authorities for hacking two people last Sunday, this week at 7 pm.

Cagayan de Oro City Police Office Director Aaron Mandia, identified the suspect as Brian Batomalaque, married, and residing at Purok 2C, Gusa, this city.

The said suspect is now in hiding after wounding his two neighbors identified as Christy Macabenlar, and Jomar Betonio.

The hacking survivors, who sustained serious injuries, were rushed to the Capitol University Medical Center hospital for treatment.

In a police report, it was revealed that the suspect, who was drunk at that time, approached the victims and without provocation hacked them using a bolo.

After the incident, the suspect hurriedly left the area in an unknown direction.

In connection with the said incident, Mandia immediately ordered his operatives to conduct a hot pursuit operation against Batomalaque.

“I appeal to the responsive public in the community to feed reliable information that could help our Police to locate the whereabouts of the suspect for his immediate arrest,” Mandia said.

A frustrated murder case has already been filed by the victims before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
