AUTHORITIES arrested an 18-year-old suspect after being caught bringing with him the looted items while inside a steel company on Monday.
Police Col. Dominador Estrada, Iligan City Police Office Director, identified the suspect as Reymark Gallardo, single, and a resident of Purok 8, Barangay Maria Cristina of the said city.
Security personnel assigned at Treasure Steel Works Corporation based at the same barangay, arrested the suspect while inside the said establishment at exactly 5:30 am.
Recovered from the suspect's possession were a 45-meter long power cable, 2 pieces of copper tube, a saw, and a knife.
When the police arrived in the area the suspect was observed to have incurred injuries prompting them to bring him to Gregorio Lluch Memorial Hospital for treatment.
An appropriate complaint is now being prepared by the police against the suspect who is currently detained at the mini-cell at the said police station.
