ILIGAN City ― A veteran journalist has died due to a malingering illness.

In his social media post, Juanito Enriquez, Jr., a local media man and a close friend of Ricardo Clet, also known as “Ric,” said Clet died on July 15 and was buried at Villaverde Cemetery last Sunday after a three-day wake at St. Peter’s Chapel in Sta. Filomena, this city.

It was learned that Clet succumbed to complications of diabetes. Clet served as the vice president of Iligan Tri-Media Association, Inc. He had also written news reports with Mindanao Gold Star Daily in the early years of his career as a media man.
