as part of the intensified anti-terrorists and counter-terrorists operations of the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army’s Martial Law Special Action Group’s 52 members have underwent an intensive Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent Training which started in Aug. 14 and concluded over the weekend at Camp Evangelista, here. The training has focused on the identification of various kinds of explosive ordnances, methods of detection of improvised explosive devices, and response operations to bomb alerts and incidents. The necessity for the ML-SAG to conduct the specialized training is to deny the spill-over of terrorist activities in 4ID area. It can be recalled that since the incident in Marawi City, neighboring cities like Iligan and Cagayan de Oro City have been targeted for the conduct of atrocities by local terrorist group (Maute) as part of their original plan. The training has equipped the members of the ML-SAG additional skills which will be utilized for their anti- and counter-terrorist operations in order to ensure the safety and security of the Filipino people whom they have sworn to serve.
