Medina, Misamis Oriental — Town Mayor Donato Chan said he supports the peace forum of the New People’s Army (NPA) Monday morning which was held somewhere in the hinterland barangay here.
In a phone call interview, Chan said the peace forum is part of the rebels’ activities during their anniversary celebration.
Chan said the rebels celebrating their anniversary came from different parts of the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, and Agusan del Sur.
“Nanghinaot pud ko nga makab-ot na unta ang tinuod nga kalinaw,” said Chan.
The town mayor, however, apologized for not attending the forum even though he was invited
