THE Overseas Worker and Welfare Administration’s At Your Service (Ayos) truck is proving to be a vital resource for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families in Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro, and other parts of Mindanao, offering health, livelihood, and other essential services.
Vice Mayor Rommel Maslog of Talisayan praised the initiative, noting the truck’s recent arrival at the Capitol ground before its temporary relocation to the Sports Center.
The Ayos truck, part of a fleet serving Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, is equipped with a clinic and kitchen. It was launched by Owwa Administrator Arnel Ignacio.
Governor Peter Unabia’s support for OFWs aligns with the truck's mission, emphasizing livelihood assistance.
A collaboration between the provincial government, led by Governor Unabia, and Owwa-10 Regional Director Leonor C. Mabagal aims to train OFWs in financial management and investment.
The Ayos truck will facilitate these trainings and distribute donations, benefiting both current and former OFWs.
Provincial Board Member Rey Buhisan highlighted the truck’s advanced communication facilities, which aid in profiling and tracking OFWs, especially in emergencies. Buhisan pointed out the importance of this security measure and the truck’s role in disaster response for OFW families.
Both Maslog and Buhisan expressed gratitude to Owwa’s leadership for this significant support initiative.
