A FARMER in Bukidnon is now in jail after he was arrested by authorities in connection with the murder case filed against him.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Provincial Police Director, identified the suspect as Carmelito Lake alias ‘Toto,’ married, a resident of Barangay. Tagbak, Talakag of the said province.
Lake, who is the 3rd most wanted person at the provincial level, was arrested by police personnel assigned at Talakag Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Dennis Rowel Flores, together with 1st Bukidnon Police Mobile Force Company, Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit, and 1004th MC, Regional Mobile Force Batallion 10 at Barangay Tagbak of the said town last Thursday this week at 6:15 pm.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Jeanne Marie Abarrientos of the Regional Trial Court-10, Branch 11, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon dated April 14, 2021.
Abarrientos did not allow the suspect to post bail for the latter’s supposed temporary liberty.
Lake is now under the custody of Talakag police for proper disposition.
