MISAMIS ORIENTAL-- Opol town Mayor Max Seno delivered his State of Municipal Address yesterday morning at Barangay Igpit Gymnasium that was jam-packed by people coming from various groups in this town who gave time to hear the town chief executive’s report.
Mayor Seno faces the Opolanon with pride as he knew he has lot of things to report to them. He even inumerated his accomplishments one by one starting the highest accolade he gained under his administration. First, he cited that Opol is now a certified recepient of Zeal of Good Housekeeping now called the Good Financial Housekeeping). He said the award was bestowed to them by the Department of Interior and Local Government –Central Office Manila last May 19, 2015.
He said that the conferment of the award made him believe that his administration is now ready to take on new challenges posed by disaster or as his administration is now getting sensitive to the needs of vulnerable and the marginalized sectors of the society. He even reiterated that the protection of his constituents from threat to life and security, peace and order, and safeguard the integrity of the environment have serve as the foundation of his governance which they have done and continue to do in this administration , said Mayor Seno.
Besides that, the executive’s report was also alternated with video testimonies of people who claimed they have benefitted from Mayor Seno’s governance that contributed to the improvement of their standard of living. The Soma report was also attended by the Sanguniang Bayan members headed by Vice Mayor Chizarina M. Ortigoza and the respective barangay chairmen of 14 barangays in Opol.
