A 50-year-old staff of a city councilor in Cagayan de Oro City was arrested for illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation over the weekend.
Police Maj. Mario Mantalla, Jr., Police Station 4 commander, identified the suspect as Revel Guangco, a resident of Barangay Puntod.
Guangco is one of the staff of City Councilor James Judith.
“Iya nang binuhatan, iya nang tubagon sa korte. Dili ko modupa ana kay sa tinood lang suko ko anang iligal nga druga,” Judith said.
In a police report, it was revealed that Mantalla together with Police Lt. Lorenzo Ocon, the deputy station head, conducted a buy-bust operation against Guangco at the said place at 9:30 pm Saturday.
Confiscated from the suspect were three sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P20, 400, P500 buy-bust money, and some personal belongings.
Guangco, who is also a well-known event coordinator, is now temporarily detained at the said police station pending the filing of a case.
