Oro wins award from LCC

Cagayan de Oro City has been awarded 3rd placer among Highly Urbanized Cities throughout the country for its literacy education program. In behalf of City Mayor Oscar Moreno, Councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba, chair of the City Council committee on education, and Councilor Annie Daba received the award during the 2016 National Literacy Awards in Commonwealth Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. The Department of Education through the Literacy Coordinating Council (LCC) organized the said event. The awards aim to recognize outstanding local government units and non-government organizations for their dedication, commitment and contribution to literacy education in their respective communities.
