
THE city's mayor’s office chief of staff, Sheila Lumbatan, disclosed on Thursday that the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CDO) is now offering a new Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BA COMM) program.
The BA Communication program is designed to equip students with essential skills needed to thrive in various sectors related to communication and digital media.
"These skills are crucial in today's rapidly evolving media landscape," said Lumbatan.
Graduates of this program will have the opportunity to pursue careers as broadcasters, journalists, media relations officers, social media managers, content creators, and communication consultants.
Lumbatan said that these roles are in high demand and offer a range of opportunities for professional growth.
Entry-level salaries for these professions range from ₱18,000 to ₱25,000 per month.
This competitive salary range reflects the importance and demand for skilled communication professionals in the market, according to Lumbatan.
