ILIGAN City ― “Take a picture of that ‘wayward’ police officer.”
Thus, Maj. Zandrex Panolong, Iligan City Police spokesman, told reporters here today in answering queries on what to do with police officers who violate protocols of the Philippine National Police.
The said police officer as pointed out by a reporter, was seen carrying a long firearm, in complete uniform but wearing only a pair of slippers.
It was learned that this occurred during a concert here at a mall in this city evening of December 27 in which the main attraction was Mariane Osabel, winner of GMA’s “The Clash,” who hails from this city.
With the picture as evidence, appropriate charges could be filed against this police officer, Panolong added.
He wasn’t exactly sure, though, if long firearms were allowed in the malls, even as he expressed doubt whether that PNP member was someone from this city.
But whether he hailed from this city or not, this is a development that must be taken up in the Peace and Order Council, citing in passing such events, especially in the US by some individuals there suddenly shooting several persons inside business establishments or schools.
