FOR only a day of simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operations within Northern Mindanao, a total of 36 most wanted persons and 102 other wanted persons were arrested by authorities.

Police Regional Director Banjamin Acorda, Jr., lauded the operating units for the job well done.

The regional police implemented 12 search warrants for Violation of Republic Act 9165 or the anti-illegal drugs law that resulted in the arrests of 12 personalities and the seizure of more than P150,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, also known as shabu.

There were also six personalities arrested during the implementation of search warrants for Republic Act 10591 known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act” that led to the confiscation of nine various types of loose firearms and ammunition.

“The results of these accomplishments are because of the collective efforts and the relentless supports of the men and women of Police Regional Office 10 in maintaining peace and order and security throughout the region for all election activities,” Acorda said.

He said that as the election campaign for local has started, the PRO 10 under his leadership will continue to intensify its campaign against criminality and other illegal activities to ensure safe, accurate, free, and fair national and local elections this coming May.

The police director also clarified PRO 10 is grateful to the community for the unyielding support that is given towards the Philippine National Police and for constantly tipping-off information to any illegal activities that arise in their locality.
