A security agency supervisor was shot and killed by a still unidentified lone gunman in Barangay Camaman-an, Cagayan de Oro City last Saturday at 6 pm.
Police Master Sgt. Feliciano Beljot of Cogon police station, identified the victim as Lordicito Sumayla, residing at Ramonal Village of the said barangay.
He was connected at Padla Security Agency but during his break, he also drives a habal-habal as his sideline.
The victim sustained eight gunshot wounds to the different parts of his body.
Four wounds are visible on the head and another three on the chest.
Johnny Bagtong, the victim’s brother told media, prior to the shooting he noticed the victim sitting on a beach of a store in the area supposedly waiting for passengers to ride on his motorcycle.
The victim was driving a habal-habal as his sideline during his break time.
“Kalit lang adunay lalaki nga naka jacket itum ug naka sul-ob og helmet miduol kaniya (victim) ug namusil,” Bagtong said.
Before the first gun burst, Bagtong said he heard Sumayla two times shouting “wala koy labot ana, bai.”
Beljot said some witnesses in the area noticed that after killing the victim the suspect hurriedly drove his motorcycle and sped away from the crime scene.
But upon reaching the junction another motorcycle appeared from behind and joined the suspect from escaping.
Nobody was able to take notice of the color of the two motorcycles and their plate numbers as the area is poorly lit.
Beljot said authorities recovered a live bullet from a .45 caliber pistol and several empty bullet shells.
