ILIGAN City police were able to arrest a suspect after only four hours since stealing a motorcycle today.
Police Dominador Estrada, Iligan City Police Director, identified the suspect as Joshua Delmo, 23, unemployed, and residing at Purok 7, Tambo, Brangay Hinaplanon of the said city.
In a police report it was revealed that at about 7:29 am the complainant identified as Ronald Encarnado, 38, married, a technician by profession, and a resident of Zone 8, Barangay Del Carmen of the same city, went to the police station and reported that his motorcycle was stolen by an unidentified person.
He said the suspect entered his residence and took away his black Suzuki Smash motorcycle, bearing a temporary plate number 1501-0225628. The same suspect also took his bag containing cash money amounted to P15,000.
Immediately, personnel of the said police station, under the supervision of Police Capt. Neil Mark Quipanes of Iligan City Police station 1, together with the Iligan City Highway Patrol Team, under the supervision of Police Vincent Parame, conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspect.
Four hours later the team went back to the station with the arrested suspect.
Police said Delmo was arrested at San Miguel Village, Pala-o of the said city with the stolen motorcycle.
The suspect is currently detained at the Iligan police station mini-cell.
