By Frank E. Dosdos, Jr., and Sita Asequia, Correspondents ILIGAN City — A tricycle driver was shot to death by four masked men in Tambacan at 8 am Wednesday, at Purok 9, Tambacan, this City. Police Duty Investigator SPOI Jess C. Bigornia reported that operatives responding to the incident found the dead body of a man identified later as Kadji Minakan, alias Ammin Rasul, 54, tricycle driver and a resident of the said place. Minakan succumbed to one gunshot wound to the head and three gunshot wounds to his torso. Investigators gathered from the victim’s daughter, Sittie Kadji Amin, that she noticed five unidentified persons in the vicinity of their house wearing masks and bonnets at around 7 am on the same day. While the victim was at the basketball court, two of the unidentified men wearing motorcycle helmets approached and shot the victim. After the incident the suspects fled riding a motorcycle. Police recovered four fired cartridge cases of a caliber .45 at the scene. The victim’s body was immediatly brought to Pantao Ragat, Lanao del Norte by relatives. As this report was filed Police Intelligence Operatives were conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the motive behind the incident and to identify the perpetrators.
