DAVAO CITY — Three public elementary schools in Davao City received 128 digital tablets and three years of internet support to help students access interactive math, science, and English lessons under the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Adopt-a-School Program.
The donation targets students and teachers at Tugbok Central Elementary School, T. Awad Echevarria Elementary School, and Paradise Embac Elementary School.
Alongside the devices, the donation includes three years of paid internet connectivity, teacher training, and technical assistance. The setup allows teachers to use Khan Academy Philippines’ free online platform, which features DepEd-aligned video lessons, exercises, and real-time student progress tracking dashboards.
Teachers will begin integrating the digital platform into daily instruction following orientation sessions held during the hardware turnover.

The initiative was formalized through a series of Memorandum of Agreement and Deed of Donation signings at Tugbok Central Elementary on July 14, and at T. Awad Echevarria Elementary and Paradise Embac Elementary on July 15.

The digital tools and internet funding were provided by real estate developer Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev) in partnership with the Conrado and Ladislawa Alcantara Foundation, Inc.
