ILIGAN CITY — Farmers and food producers across the Philippines continue to receive stronger support in animal nutrition, farm productivity, and sustainable agriculture as Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation marks its 28th anniversary during National Nutrition Month.
The Aboitiz Foods company said it is reaffirming its commitment to helping build a more resilient and food-secure Philippines through quality animal nutrition, technical support, and investments that strengthen the country's food value chain.
Since its founding in 1998, Pilmico has expanded from an animal nutrition company into an integrated food and agribusiness enterprise with businesses in feed milling, swine and layer production, and meat processing.
As part of Aboitiz Foods, it provides "mill-to-meal" solutions aimed at improving farm productivity, food security, and sustainable agriculture.
"Over the years, Pilmico has worked to earn the trust of farmers, customers, and communities by growing alongside them and adapting to their evolving needs," said Norie Bermudez, First Vice President and Agribusiness Philippines Country Director of Aboitiz Foods.
She said the company remains committed to delivering innovative solutions, building long-term partnerships, and supporting a more resilient agricultural sector.
Among its milestones, Tarlac Meatmasters became the country's first multi-meat processing facility to earn Triple-AAA accreditation across three categories, while Pilmico's Poultry division became the first in Asia to receive the Hendrix Genetics 500 Egg Club Award for layer productivity.
To strengthen local food production, Pilmico also expanded its swine operations through a modern breeder and nursery farm in Talugtug, Nueva Ecija, equipped with advanced biosecurity systems and renewable energy features. The company has likewise implemented reforestation, renewable energy, and responsible resource management initiatives.
Beyond production, Pilmico continues to provide farmers with technical assistance and practical training on animal nutrition, feed efficiency, biosecurity, and farm management to help improve productivity and adapt to changing industry demands.

The company also invests in developing future agriculture professionals through partnerships with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Infinity Vocational Training School Inc. (IVTSI), and Pampanga State Agricultural University.
These programs provide meat butchery training, scholarships, and industry exposure.
Pilmico also supports education, livelihood, and disaster resilience initiatives with government agencies and local communities, including the Aboitiz Foundation's AuroraPH program, which provides solar power systems and digital connectivity to last-mile schools in Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.
