CAGAYAN de Oro City — Families visiting this year's Higalaay Festival can enjoy free rides at the Mary Rose Carnival on two nights in August, courtesy of Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy and his family.
The free rides will be available at the Mary Rose Carnival inside Limketkai Center on August 13 and August 18, from 5 p.m. until midnight.
According to Uy, the activity is their family's personal gift to Kagay-anons as part of the city's annual Higalaay celebration.
The mayor said the free rides are open to everyone, with no entrance fee or special qualifications required.
"Walay pili, walay bayad—alang kini sa tanang Kagay-anon," Uy said.
He expressed hope that the initiative would allow families to enjoy quality time together while celebrating the city's biggest annual festival.
Uy also thanked residents for their continued support and said he hopes the simple gesture will help make this year's Higalaay more memorable for the community.
