THERE will be reduction in the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and auto-LPG starting June 1, 2022, said Trade and Commerce committee head Councilor George Goking of the City Council, Tuesday.
He even said not only Petron will cut the price but to include other oil firms who announced the rollback of an over P5 of price early this week.
According to Goking, the Petron Corp will cut their price of LPG to P5.90 per kilo or P64.90 per tank effective June 1. It will also slash the price of auto-LPG to P3.30 a liter.
“The confirmed big-time rollback in the prices of its household and auto liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products, following a projection by the Department of Energy, “ said Goking.
In an advisory, Petron and other fuel firms according to him will implement a rollback, effective 12:01 a.m., June 1, 2022.
Petron also announced it is cutting Petron Auto LPG prices by P3.30 per liter at the same time, Goking said.
Firms said the decreases reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of June.
Early month of May, this year, Goking also added that other oil companies including Petron slashed of P5.50 the prices of their LPG, diesel, and gasoline products.
"This will be the 1st rollback in the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and auto-LPG for the month of June," said Goking.
