TUBOD, Lanao del Norte — If you're looking for the next big motocross destination in Mindanao, Lanao del Norte is strengthening its bid after hosting another successful Mindanao-wide Motocross Challenge that drew riders, families, and racing enthusiasts from across the country.

The event at the Mindanao Civic Center Race Track showcased not only high-speed competition but also the province's growing reputation as a hub for motocross and sports tourism.

Veteran rider Saulog thanked the provincial government for continuously supporting the sport, saying the races provide opportunities for both seasoned competitors and aspiring athletes.

"We're truly grateful, especially to Governor Mohamad Khalid Dimaporo, for making these motocross events possible. We hope more races will continue to be held here in the future," he said.

Saulog also encouraged young riders to prioritize discipline above all else.

"If you want to become good in this sport, discipline is very important. Without it, you'll struggle and could end up getting seriously injured," he said.

Beyond the competition, the Mindanao-wide Motocross Challenge has become a gathering that connects riders of all ages. Veteran racers return to test their skills, newcomers gain valuable experience, and families strengthen their shared passion for the sport.

Provincial organizers said the event is part of Lanao del Norte's continuing push to establish the Mindanao Civic Center Race Track as one of Mindanao's premier motocross venues while boosting sports tourism and attracting more national racing events.

With another successful race completed, local officials and riders are optimistic that more motocross competitions will bring visitors, create opportunities for young athletes, and further promote Lanao del Norte as a top destination for motorsports in Mindanao. (Ben Balce, Editorial Lead)
