SOME 301 small businesses across select Misamis Oriental towns received capital infusion from the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Tagoloan town yesterday.

The beneficiaries of DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program came from the towns of El Salvador, Lugait, Tagoloan, Opol, Initao, Gitagum, Laguindingan, and Libertad receiving P10,000 each.

Senator Christopher Lawrence Go, who graced the event, also distributed gift packs to the beneficiaries. Misamis Oriental 2nd district Rep. Yevgeny Vincente Emano and the local government of Tagoloan assisted in handing out the gift packs.

The welfare department identified the beneficiaries based on existing small businesses that needed additional capital.

Go told the small entrepreneurs to use the capital infusion solely for their businesses.

Tudluan mo mag negosyo. Tagaan mog puhunan ug ipalago ninyo inyong negosyo,” he said.

For his part, Emano hoped that the capital infusion will help alleviate their small businesses.

Dyes mil pwede na makapatuyok (ug negosyo). Makasugod ug gamay nga negosyo gyud,” he said.
