IN a public statement released today, November 13, by Cagayan de Oro City Water Distric Public Relations/Information Division Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Sharon C. Neri, it has been announced that a temporary water service interruption will affect parts of Cagayan de Oro City due to emergency pipe leakage repairs.

Neri said the COWD team is currently working on fixing a leakage in a 150mm diameter steel pipe which was damaged due to a drainage project at Puerto Highway, near Puerto Market.

"This repair has resulted in a temporary suspension of water services to several areas in the city," Neri said.

The repair work will commence at 10:20 a.m. on November 13, 2023, and is expected to be completed by 5:00 p.m. the same day.

During this period, there will be a halt in water supply in several areas including Bantiles Bugo up to Pepsi in Tin-Ao, Agusan (Mountain Side/Inland Side).

The COWD has assured its customers that the team is committed to restoring normal water supply as quickly as possible.

"The repair and maintenance team is working diligently to carry out the necessary repairs efficiently with the least disruption," she said.

While the repair is ongoing, the COWD advises customers to take appropriate actions to manage their water usage.

Customers are encouraged to store enough water for essential purposes ahead of the interruption to minimize any inconvenience.

Customers with further inquiries or concerns about the water service interruption or other related matters can contact the Customer Care Service Desk Hotlines at 555-9850 or 09060070411.

The customer service team is ready to assist and address any issues or questions, according to Neri.

The COWD acknowledges the inconvenience caused by this temporary disruption and appreciates the understanding and patience of its customers.
