STEAG State Power, Inc., (SPI) was honored with several prestigious awards at the PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority’s (PHIVIDEC IA) Locators Night Celebration, which recently took place at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.

This event marked an important milestone as it celebrated the 50th anniversary of PHIVIDEC IA.

SPI’s achievements highlighted its strong dedication to community and economic development.

One of the standout awards SPI received was for "Best in Corporate Social Responsibility."

This is the third consecutive year that SPI has won this award, showcasing its ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

SPI’s initiatives in social responsibility reflect its goal to support local development and improve the quality of life for residents.

In addition to this honor, SPI was recognized as the "Most Accommodating Site Tour Locator." This award reflects SPI’s efforts to create a welcoming environment for visitors and potential investors.

Furthermore, the company was ranked as the second largest investor in the industrial estate and acknowledged for being one of the highest employers in the area.

These recognitions underline SPI’s significant role in the local economy.

PHIVIDEC IA itself was established under Presidential Decree No. 538, signed by former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Sr. on August 13, 1974.

The authority manages a 3,000-hectare industrial estate located in Tagoloan and Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.

Its mission is to drive socio-economic growth and development in the region, making it a cornerstone of local industry.

During the celebration, lawyer Joseph Donato “Cid” Bernedo, the PHIVIDEC IA Administrator, expressed his appreciation to all industry locators and service firms for their continued support.

He emphasized the vital role these partnerships play in fostering countryside development and improving the economic well-being of the community as a whole.

The Locators Night Celebration not only honored the achievements of companies like SPI but also served as a reminder of the importance of collaboration in driving progress.

With its strong track record and community-focused initiatives, SPI continues to be a leader in promoting growth and development in the region.
