150 arrests, 130 cases but no death in Oro drug war

THE Cagayan de Oro Police Office (Cocpo) has boasted that it carried out a total of 95 anti-drug operations without any bloodshed.
Chief Insp. Mardy Hortillosa, spokesperson of Cocpo, said 95 “Double Barrel Reloaded” operations were conducted by authorities in this city from March 1 to 30.
Hortillosa said officers under Cocpo also visited the houses of 1,330 drug suspects, and registered 1,185 revisits under “Operation Tokhang part 2” from March 1 to 13.
Police arrested some 150 suspects during the same period, and filed 130 cases before the prosecutor’s office.
Hortillosa said the number of deaths in the anti-drugs campaign here was “zero.” (nitz arancon)
