A craftsman and a musician are now inside the jail after they were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation at 12:01 this morning.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Provincial Police Director, identified the suspects as Alvin John Miana alias ‘Bebe,’ 31, single, crafsman, and a resident of Poblacion, Impasug-ong; and Joseph Dwyne Malibod alias ‘Don-don,’ musician, 38, married, and a resident of Purok 11, Casisang, Malaybalay City both of the said province.
They were arrested by members of the City Drug Enforcement Unit Valencia City led by Police Lt. Jonel Antique together with other police units while at Purok 4 diversion road, Poblacion, of the said city.
Taken from the suspects were five sachets containing a white substance believed to be shabu with an estimated street value of P51, 000; a P500 bill marked money, some personal belongings, and a Hyundai Reina sedan color white.
The arrested suspects together with the seized drugs and non-drug evidence were brought to Valencia City Police Station for proper disposition and the drug evidence will be turned over to PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for Laboratory Examination.
A case in violation of illegal possession of drugs is now being prepared against the suspects who are now behind bars inside a mini-cell of Valencia police headquarter.
