A CONSTRUCTION worker and an unemployed were arrested for illegal possession of drugs and a firearm in a separate buy-bust operations in Bukidnon over the weekend.

Police Provincial Director Jun Mark Lagare, identified the suspects as Arnel Aylo, 30, a construction worker and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay 9, Malaybalay City; and Rolly Morales alias Loloy, 30, married, unemployed, and a resident of Zone 6, Barangay Puntian, Quezon, both of the said province.

Seized from Aylo were five sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu worth P9,928, and a P500 buy-bust money.

Lagare said the suspect was nabbed by members of Malaybalay City Police Station led by Police Capt Christian Serdeña at Purok 2, Barangay 9, Malaybalay City last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Morales was arrested while at Purok 6, Puntian, Quezon of the said province at around 11:20 pm yesterday by members of the Quezon Municipal Station led by Police Major Noel Cano together with 2nd Bukdnon Police MobileForce Company.

Confiscated from him were two pieces of sachets containing the white crystalline substance of suspected shabu with an estimated value at P3,712, and nd a homemade shotgun with a magazine loaded with two live ammunition.

Aylo will be charged in court in violation of Republic Act 9165 known as illegal possession of drugs.

While Morales is facing two cases ― illegal possession of drugs and illegal possession of a firearm in relation to Commission on Elections Resolution no.10728.

The two are now under custody at respective police stations where they got arrested.
