HEALTH Emergency Response Task Force (HERTF) here in Ozamiz City ordered the closure of 5 commercial establishments for failure to strictly implement health and safety protocols amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.
On October 23, the said five establishments have been issued closure order and business permit revocation for non-compliance with minimum health standards imposed by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and the City Government of Ozamiz.
These include the Seaborne Shipping lines, Misamis Unimart, Gats Bar, among others.
Fourteen individuals from the said establishments were also arrested by the Ozamiz police for not wearing face masks.
“Two more Ozamiznons died of COVID-19," Ozamiz city Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal said.
We cannot defeat this virus if we do not cooperate and work together, we need discipline, according to Oaminal.
Oaminal said among the minimum health protocols to be followed are wearing face mask, face shield and social distancing
