A 39-year-old second most wanted person in Mambajao, Camiguin was arrested by authorities for a sexual abuse case yesterday afternoon.
Police Col. Romel Cena, Officer-in-charge, Mambajao Municipal Police Station, identified the suspect as Roberto Baja, married, a native of Bohol province, and presently residing at East Drive, Rolling Hills, Barangay Fortune, Marikina City.
He was arrested by personnel of the said police station together with other operating units at Duke street Barangay Silangan, San Mateo Rizal of the said town by virtue of a warrant of arrest for statutory rape and rape cases at 4:30 pm.
Judge Giovanni Alfred Navarro of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 28, Mambajao, Camiguin recommended the suspect P400,000 as bail bond for the latter’s temporary liberty.
Baja is temporarily detained at Marikina City Police Station Jail Facility for proper documentation and booking procedure.
