CITY police director Senior Supt. Robert Roy Bahian on Thursday wants the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) to undergo internal cleansing. Chief Insp. Mardy Hortillosa, Cocpo spokesman, said Bahian ordered the cleansing when he presided over his first command conference  at the Maharlika headquarters after he assumed as the city’s top cop this week. Hortillosa said Bahian ordered a purge against police scawalags. He said Bahian gave two orders to the police station commanders under Cocpo:  start the cleansing process, and the “barangay drug-clearing operations” and a fresh anti-crime campaign. Bahian’s goal is to make Cagayan de Oro a drug-free city in line with the government’s war on drugs, according to Horillosa. (nitz arancon)
