BUKIDNON police scored anew by raiding a marijuana plantation located in the hinterland of Valencia City yesterday morning.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Police Provincial Director said, personnel from the Regional Mobile Force Batallion led by Police Capt. Rustariel Murillo, 1003rd MC, and Valencia City Police Station raided the said plantation at Sitio Bagaobawan, Barangay Guinoyuran of the said city at 9:38 am.
Authorities identified the cultivator as a certain Ian Pacquit of legal age and a resident of the said place.
He hurriedly left the area upon sensing the presence of the raiding team. Police are now looking for him.
Seized from the area were 16 uprooted matured marijuana plants, seven marijuana seedlings placed in a plastic pot, and plastic cellophane containing burnt marijuana seedlings.
The confiscated plants and seeds were brought to Valencia City Police Station for proper disposition and will be turned over to PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for laboratory examination.
A case in violation of Section 16, Art II of RA 9165 is now being prepared for filing in court against the suspect.
