SIGNIFICANT event was initiated by the Royal Knights Eagles Club, a Cagayan de Oro-based organization dedicated to environmental conservation.
The active involvement of these organizations can be attributed to the heartfelt invitation extended by Jhonmark C. Oligario, the School Head of Cosina Integrated School.
Oligario expressed his gratitude to the participating organizations for their unwavering support in the collective effort to protect and preserve the Earth by planting trees.
During the event, members of the Royal Knights Eagles Club planted Golden Trumpet seedlings, symbolizing their commitment to fostering a greener future.
The simultaneous tree-planting activity took place on June 24, 2023, as volunteers from the various organizations converged on designated sites across the nation.
Eric Daabay, the President of the Royal Knights Eagles Club, commended Oligario for his exceptional support of their cause and applauded the active participation of the aforementioned organizations under Oligario's leadership.
Daabay emphasized the significance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges and expressed his appreciation for the commitment demonstrated by all participants.
“The event served as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to address deforestation and climate change,” said Oligario.
He said that the tree-planting initiatives play a crucial role in mitigating the adverse effects of environmental degradation, such as soil erosion, loss of biodiversity, and air pollution.

Meanwhile Daabay said the efforts of Cosina Integrated School, Kabalikat Civicom, Cosina Barangay Council, Parent Teacher Association officers, and the Boyscout of the Philippines exemplify the power of collaboration and community involvement.
“By working together, they not only enhanced the landscape with new trees but also raised awareness about the importance of preserving the environment,” Daabay explained.
