THE capitol is set to distribute thousands of rapid diagnostic testing kits throughout the province.
Misamis Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano today said the kits would be given to municipal and city health offices as part of the campaign to stop the spread of Covid-19.
He said 6,000 of the kits were bought by the provincial government while 250 others were given by Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri.
“Ibahin-ibahin ni sa kada munisipyo. Magbilin lang ug katunga kay di paman masiguro kung unsay patakaran aning modified GCQ (general community quarantine),” Emano said.
He said half of the kits would be used by the Provincial Health Office in testing those found to have influenza-like illnesses and returning workers from abroad.
Emano said isolation units have been prepared in the various municipalities especially for returning overseas Filipino workers coming from areas placed under enhanced quarantine areas. (Shiela Mae Butlig)
