THE Cagayan Electric Power and Light Co. (Cepalco) yesterday announced a payment scheme for power consumers affected by the quarantine measures here because of the Covid-19 threat.

Under the mandate of the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Cepalco said it would implement a scheme to spread out the payments knowing full well how the health crisis has affected the finances of many people.

“Kini gibuhat para matabangan ang tanan nga medyo na apiki sa ilang budget tungod sa Covid-19 Crisis,” Cepalco in an announcement.

According to Cepalco, payments for the period of March 14 to April 30 would be divided into four and would be spread out and reflected on the monthly electric bills from May to August, to allow consumers to pay in installments.

“Ang 4 equal installments makita ninyo sa inyong electric bills sa May, June, July and August 2020. Kalabot niini, padayunon nato ang pagdaginot sa kunsumo sa kuryente sa atong mga panimalay,” Cepalco said. (Dave Achondo)
