FEW months from now Filipino voters will elect new leaders that will govern the country for a term of six years.
Thus, the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) had joined the country’s simultaneous launching of S.A.F.E. NLE together with different sectors yesterday at 8 am at Cocpo headquarters in Barangay 40, this city.
S.A.F.E. means safe, accurate, and fair election-National Election 2022 was dubbed as “Kasambayanan” (Kawani, Simbahan at Pamayanan).
Police Major Ivan Viñas, Cocpo spokesperson said the morning activity was attended by the different groups in the city such as Cocpo Staff, Station commanders, Chief of Special units, Cocpo uniformed and None Uniformed Personnel (NUP), Task Force (OTF), with invited guest from their counterparts in the government service.
Also present during the affair were different representatives from the city’s Commission On Election, the city’s Department of Interior and Local Government, National Citizens Movement For Free Elections, Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting, and different religious groups in the city.
The highlights of the program were the lighting of the SAFE candle and pinning of the SAFE PIN, manifesto signing, distribution, and releasing of white doves.
Various messages from different sectors manifesting and signifying their respective support to the mantra of PNP this 2022 National and Local Elections were also heard.
