A BARANGAY Canitoan resident was arrested for illegal possession of drugs during a buy-bust operation yesterday at 6:45 in the evening.
Police Maj. Aldrin Baculio, City Drug Enforcement Unit chief of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, identified the suspect as Kent Brian Villanueva, 26, single, and a resident of Mahogany Village, Cagayan de Oro City of the said barangay.
Recovered from the suspect were four sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P20,400, and a P500 buy-bust money.
The said incident was witnessed by Barangay Councilor Joseph Taboclaon and a media personality.
The suspect is now under the custody of the police for proper disposition.
