A 46-year-old laborer is now languishing in jail after he was arrested yesterday at 8:40 pm for a sexual abuse case that he had committed in Iligan City.
Police Capt. John Real dela Cerna of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office’s Station 10 identified the suspect as Rene Aslag, married, and residing at Zone 5, FS Catanico, Barangay Cugman, this city.
Dela Cerna, together with the Iligan City police, served the warrant of arrest for qualified rape against the suspect at his residence.
Judge Mylene Macumbal of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 2 of Iligan City, recommended no bail bond for the suspect’s supposed temporary freedom.
The accused is now temporarily detained at the Police Station 10 custodial facility for proper disposition.
