A TOTAL of 25 fugitives were caught in just a day by police in separate dragnet operations by the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) on yesterday.

Cocpo Deputy City Director Police Lt. Col. Surki Sereñas revealed that out of the 25 arrests, two were the city’s most wanted and four were most wanted at the station level.

Sereñas said it happened during Cocpo’s city-wide simultaneous police operations against wanted individuals, illegal drug personalities, and those who are doing other crimes.

To summarize their accomplishments, Sereñas named the stations which are involved in the simultaneous operations namely: Station 1 personnel in Divisoria were able to serve a search warrant for illegal drug possession where 8.52 grams of shabu were confiscated and a suspect arrested.

The same station was responsible for the arrest of the most wanted person at the station level.

While station number 2 police in Cogon arrested a most wanted person at the station level and also arrested two suspects who committed other crimes.

Station number 3 Agora also nabbed a suspect who committed other forms of criminality.

At police station 4 in Carmen, police operatives arrested a suspect who was tagged as the number 1 most wanted at the station level for committing a crime. They also arrested a person for doing things against the law.

Police station 5, for its part, arrested the most wanted person in the city. While station number 6 nabbed four suspects.

Police station 7 arrested two wanted persons and one most wanted person at the station level.

Lastly, station number 8 was able to catch the most wanted individual in the city and another three wanted persons.

“We hope to continue this kind of aggressiveness against criminals with the active support of the new administration,” Sereñas said.
