A construction painter in Bukidnon is now languishing in jail after he was arrested for illegal possession of drugs.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Provincial Police director, identified the suspect as Jhon Robert Eluna, 23, single, a resident of Purok 10, Gawad Kalinga, Barangay Casisang, Malaybalay City of the said province.
Malaybalay police led by Police Capt. Christian Serdeña who served the warrant of arrest, was able to seize from the suspect six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated amount of P47,600 and some illegal drug paraphernalia.
Judge Mirabeaus Undalok of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 8, Malaybalay City, signed the warrant of arrest.
The suspect, together with the seized drug and non-drug pieces of evidence were brought to Malaybalay City police station for proper disposition and will be turned over to PNP Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
