FOR sending nude photos to other individuals, a 22-year-old driver was arrested by authorities in an entrapment operation yesterday morning.
Police Lt. Col. Lemuel Gonda, Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit-10 head, identified the suspect as Jerome Orlanda, a resident of Barangay Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City, and an on-call private vehicle driver.
In an interview with the media, Orlanda admitted sending nude photos of his 26-year-old estranged live-in partner in an attempt to win her back.
He said it was his friend who gave him the advice to do an unlawful thing.
“Ang ako lagi unta sir nga magbalik mi kay in-love pa man gud ko niya. Mibiya to siya sa ako kay lage usahay ako mapasakitan kay tungod ra man pud niya sigi ko niya insultohon,” Orlanda said
But yesterday, he said, he was glad when the complainant requested to have a meal with him at Mcdo located at the said barangay
When they were already inside the said store taking the meal together, suddenly somebody approached their table identifying themselves as policemen and arrested him.
He only realized then that it was an entrapment operation against him.
The suspect said he took the nude photos when he and the complainant were still together in one house.
He said they decided to separate just on February 4.
The suspect will be facing a charge in violation of Republic Act 10175 known as anti-cybercrime law.
He was brought to the Agora police for proper disposition.
