POLICE Authorities in Cagayan de Oro City are now looking for the identity of an individual who mercilessly dumped a fetus along a grassy area near a high-end subdivision here, yesterday afternoon.
In an interview with Patrolman Raffy de los Santos of Carmen police station, he said the fetus, which was found at around 5 pm and estimated to be at four to five months old, was placed in a biscuit box and put in a red eco-bag.
The suspect abandoned it in a grassy portion of Macapagal drive in Upper Carmen.
A certain Elmer Bobadilla, a security guard assigned at Bellview subdivision told media, a resident of the said subdivision was the first person who noticed the echo bag.
“Matud sa maong tawo sir kamulo siyang lakaw iya daw’ng nasipaan ang maong plastic box nga sudlanan sa biskwit ug gilagpot ang taklob. Nanawag dayon siya sa ako busa among gitan-aw ang sulod ug didto nakita namo ang maong fetus,” Bobadilla recalled.
He said that prior to the discovery, at around 11 am that same day he noticed a white pick-up parked where the unborn baby was found.
The said vehicle which he failed to get the plate number, stayed at the said area for three to four minutes. He is not sure though if the individuals riding at the said car were the ones responsible for the dumping of the said fetus.
De los Santos said police investigators will consider including in their probe the identity of the owner of the said vehicle
A team from Emergency Medical Services who responded to the area will be the one that will dispose of the said fetus.
