AUTHORITIES have arrested three persons for transporting illegal slabs of lumber in Salay, Misamis Oriental Monday.
Police Col. Raniel Valones, police provincial director, identified the suspects as Rey Dullen, 37, married, Romel Remadavia, 30, single, both residing at Purok 7, and Charles Pagara, 42, married of Purok 1 Yungod, all of the said town.

seized 18 slabs of Molave cut to different sizes from the suspects.
Police said the hot logs were loaded in three motorcycles each driven by the suspects.
In a police report, it was revealed that prior to the arrest a concerned citizen called up the said police station informing that three motorcycles loaded with forest products were seen traversing the national highway coming from Barangay Yungod of the same municipality.
Police immediately responded, arrested the suspects, confiscated the logs, and impounded all their motorcycles.
The suspects are now under the custody of Salay police awaiting the filing of charges.
Valones commended the operating personnel for a job well done and encouraged them to continue their unwavering efforts and keep on reinvigorating their anti-criminality campaign.
