A 45-year-old Barangay Macabalan resident in Cagayan de Oro City is now languishing in jail after he was arrested for illegal drug possession over the weekend.
Police Maj. Julius Saluta, Police Station 2 chief, identified the suspect as
Jimmy de Guzman alias ‘Busila,’ married, and a resident of Sitio Parola of the said barangay.
He was arrested by personnel assigned at the said station led by Police Senior Master Sgt. Neil Apollo de Las Alas at 7:30 am.
Confiscated from the suspect were 16 sachets containing a white crystalized substance believed to be shabu with an estimated street value of P51,000 and several illegal drug paraphernalia.
The raiding team was armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Arthur Abundiente of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 25, Cagayan de Oro City.
The suspect is now temporarily detained at the custodial facility of Cogon police.
