By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent SUSPECTED terrorist bomb maker Reneer Lou Dongon, one of those suspected to be behind the bombings outside Maxandrea Hotel in 2012 and at Limketkai center in 2013, may end up being brought to this city because of court rules. “The normal process is, the suspect would be brought to court by the police so the judge [handling his case] could issue a commitment order,” said lawyer Glerma Cabrera, clerk of court of the 23rd branch of the Regional Trial Court here that is handling a case against Dongon. Cabrera said based on the rules, fugitives arrested based on warrants have to be presented in court. Dongon, who has yet to be tried for multiple murder and frustrated murder cases in connection with the October 2012 bomb attack on JR Borja St. outside Maxandrea Hotel and the July 26, 2013 bombing outside Kyla’s Bar at Limketkai center that left 10 people dead and 46 others injured, was arrested in Clarin town, Bohol on Saturday. Also arrested was his alleged lover Supt. Maria Cristina Nobleza, deputy chief of the Davao regional Crime Laboratory. But Cabrera said he had no idea if  Dongon would be brought to this city by authorities so he could be tried here. Cabrera said Judge Vincent Rosales and the police have yet to communicate in connection with the Dongon case. The judge is handling the case in connection with the 2012 bombing. Judge Rosales issued the arrest warrant against Dongon and other alleged bombers in July 15,  2016. No bail was recommended. Dongon, also linked to the shadowy Khilafah Islamiyah Movement, has a similar case in the sala Judge Bonifacio Macabaya of the 18th branch of the RTC here in connection with the July 26, 2013 bombing at Limketkai center that resulted in the killing of provincial board member  Roldan Lagbas and nine others, and in injuries to 46 others. Councilor Romeo Calizo said he was worried about the prospects of the alleged Abu Sayyaf bomb maker being brought to the city because the suspect is considered a security risk. “Mas maayo na nga didto nalang na siya dad-on sa Bicutan para walay additional concern nato dinhi sa security,”  said Calizo, chairman of the city council’s committee on police, fire and public safety. He said he feared that the dreaded Abu Sayyaf would attempt to “rescue” Dongon in the city. “Ambisyonan na nila nga ilang iescue. Dakong problima na nato diri.” Calizo called on Mayor Oscar Moreno to prevent the police from bringing Dongon here, pointing out that the city lacks secured facilities, and security personnel who could handle a detainee like Dongon. But just in case, he said, authorities should start mapping out a security plan in case Dongon is brought to the city because it is part of a legal process. Chief Insp. Mardy Hortillosa, spokesperson of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo), said the matter is something for the courts to decide on, pointing out that the police have no choice but to follow court orders. “Kon mo-ingon ang korte nga dad-on gyud siya dinhi kay ma-o gyud na ang proseso sa bala-od, wala kami mahimo. Among i-tighten ang security,” said Hortillosa. He said Dongon poses great security risks everywhere he is. “If he is brought to the city, there will be security risks from the airport in Manila, the Laguindingan  airport in Misamis Oriental all the way to Cagayan de Oro,” Hortillosa said. “Close security gyud na kay  basin iescue na siya   sa Abu Sayyaf sa dalan.”
