RELATIVES and friends of a 35-year-old single mother, who was brutally killed after being possibly raped, are clamoring for the speedy wheels of justice as no arrest had been made yet.

The victim, identified as Milanie Villastique Manzano, was the owner of the popular Digong Store along the highway of Zone 4-A, Igpit, Opol in Misamis Oriental.

She received multiple stab wounds from all over her body and on her neck when the unidentified suspect (or suspects) barged into her store one night and executed the gruesome murder, over the weekend.

“Under investigation pa kini apan ang pinaka ngilngig nga krimen so far nga krimen nga nahitabo sa atong dapit niining bulana,” remarked Bombo Radyo anchorman, Michael ‘MIB’ Bustamante.

Neighbors, however, told police investigator PCMS Benhur Penaloga that Manzano’s grocery store was recently burglarized when the victim went to her nearby house in Luyong Bonbon, Opol during nighttime.

They also informed the cop that Manzano, reportedly the daughter of the prominent Manzano taxi units’ owner in Cagayan de Oro, had an avid male suitor.

Bathed in her own blood, Milanie was still brought to Northern Mindanao Medical Center where she was declared dead on arrival.

The victim was reportedly naked, suggesting she was molested, and her place was messy, indicating she gave a fight and even wounded her attacker as seen by the bloodstain along the escape way.

Neighbors described Milanie as very friendly, smiling, approachable, and easy to get along with.
